HISTORY

On September 11, 2001 the Hackel family experienced the tragic loss of Paige Farley-Hackel.

Paige was on her way to California with best friend Ruth McCourt Clifford and Ruth’s four year old daughter Juliana (Paige’s God child) for a surprise trip to Disney Land as well as to meet with Deepak Chopra regarding Paige’s new syndicated radio program “Spiritually Speaking”.

That morning, the three left Paige’s home in Newton, MA for the drive to Logan Airport. Although they were all travelling together, Paige and Ruth booked independent flights to make use of frequent flyer miles. Paige was booked on American Airlines, Flight #11 while Ruth and Juliana were booked on United Airlines, Flight #175.

That same morning, Ruth’s brother, Ron Clifford arrived at the World Trade Center fifteen minutes early for a business meeting. As he paced the lobby waiting, he felt the building suddenly shake. It was American Airlines, Flight #11, crashing into the North Tower.

As Ron helped people evacuate the building, United Flight #175, the flight carrying his sister and niece then crashed into the South Tower.

This tragic loss serves as the inspiration for Peter Hackel and the team at PH Productions as they dedicate their vast majority of time and energy supporting worthy causes they feel Paige would if she were still alive.

Turning tragedy into triumph…
